ESL Strategies for Math 1
Personalized Learning
"Personalized Learning" Grouping Strategies:
1. Group kids into 2 main groups- One group is your very low kids or students
who have potential but have low motivation. The other group are your "high flyers" or students who are just on grade level but have the potential for level 4. Have the higher level group learn the lesson on the chrome book while you work a review topic with the lower kids. Then switch and work with the high students on EOC prep level work on topic or review homework. At the end of class practice the new topic with the whole group.
2. Differentiate homework- Go through one group's homework while the other group works online. Then switch.
